Beginner Class I
with Sam Montana
This class is for novices. The questions to be answered are, “How do I use a computer?” ‘How do I get started?’ and “Where can I get additional help?’ We will cover simple computer components. The desktop will be designed by you. The use of email and internet access will be taught. In-class exercises and examples will be covered and many of your questions will be answered. This is a 2-day course, 2 hours each day. No prerequisites. Your instructor is Sam Montana

IPad/IPhone
with Paul Fales
The IPad and the IPhone function the same, in most cases. Their portability makes them very handy for lots of things. You can check Email, carry your books and music around with you, and have fun playing games. In addition, you can adjust the size if the readable text on the screen. We will go through Ipad/Iphone settings to make sure your life is easier and fun, included will be Bluetooth, Siri, Dictation, books on the Ipad and more.
Your instructor is Paul Fales.
PREREQUISITES: You need to bring your fully charged Ipad ir Iphone to the class long with the charger and USB cord. It is presumed that your device is already set up for use and you know both your password and your passcode.
How to Buy a Computer

There are many choices, where does one begin? This class discusses how much RAM you will require, which kind of drive suits your needs, whether to buy online or in person and if a warranty is worth the expense. There will be demonstrations on how to look up CPU ratings as well as how to use websites from companies like Amazon. This class is step one in understanding your choices.

Beginners Class II
with Sam Montana
This class is designed for beginners and is an interactive class. Overall computer organization is defined. File path and file extensions explained. Questions to be answered are, “Where do my photos and files go and where do I want them saved? And How might I organize them? How to make a folder/sub folder will be taught. Programs, files, folders and sub-folders are covered. We will learn to move and/or copy files as part of your computer organization. This is a 1-day class of 2 hours. Prerequisite: Beginners Class I.

Android Smartphones I and II
with Phil Sorrentino
This course consists of two sessions. The Device and the Apps. This course will demonstrate how these devices can help you, check your Email, take and share pictures, transfer your pictures to your computer, read a book, watch a movie, listen to music, and play games. Your instructor is Phil Sorrentino.
Beginning Genealogy
with Judy Lee
This class will focus on the two most popular databases for genealogical records in the world – Family Search and Ancestry. Information needed to take the class will be a basic knowledge of computer operation. Please bring names, dates of birth and death of your parents and grandparents and any other information you may have on your ancestors. If you already have a Family Search and/or Ancestry account, please bring your username and password. Your instructor is Judy Lee.
